The "white bathtub" is called this because the snow lies here for a really long time. Years ago there used to be a draglift here as well. Now it drops down a bit into a hollow, then you can walk around a nice big loop and arrive right back at the top station. On the way there are nice views towards Tyrol and the Geigelstein. Afterwards why not stop for a bite to eat at the Sonnenalm hut which also has an attractive terrace? Whoever wants to walk further can make a detour over towards the Steinlingalm on the panoramic path at the edge of the ski area. It takes approximately ¾ of an hour to get there, you can stop at the Steinlingalm for a drink or a bite to eat and then enjoy the beautiful view of the Chiemsee. It might be slippery for a while on certain areas of this path. Equipment-wise: good boots, poles and ideally light crampons are especially recommended for winter hiking in the mountains.
This tour is easy to combine with public transport. Either take the train to Prien (am Chiemsee), then Aschau and then catch the bus to the Kampenwandbahn (cable car) or take the bus directly from Rosenheim to Hohenaschau.
There is a car park at the bottom of the Kampenwand cable car.
