Our Lady (Black Madonna in the Chapel of Mercy)

The destination for pilgrims and visitors is the "Black Mother of God" in the octagon of the Chapel of Mercy. Inside, opposite the magnificently decorated altar niche with the Gothic image of grace, St. Mary's Chapel holds the hearts of the Bavarian kings and electors in silver urns. Among them is the heart urn of the Bavarian "fairytale king" Ludwig II as a sign of a princely guard of honor.
