Active on the Hemmersuppenalm panoramic trail
An absolute insider tip for cross-country skiers - high above the Chiemgau near Reit im Winkl, the snow-sure trail on the Hemmersuppenalm lures you in with fantastic views. A true winter wonderland stretches out around us: the snow-covered mountain landscape of the Alps on one side and the Chiemgau with Lake Chiemsee on the other, with the snow-covered Alpine pastures of the Hemmersuppenalm in front of us. It's worth pausing for a moment and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Premium hiking in winter
Those who find cross-country skiing too strenuous or technical can enjoy Germany's first premium winter hiking trail on the Hemmersuppenalm. The trail is almost flat and always offers a magnificent panorama. Surrounded by the surrounding Chiemgau mountains, we also catch a glimpse of Lake Chiemsee from time to time. There are benches at regular intervals along the trail, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the view for a few moments.

The Celtic farmstead in Stöffling
In Stöffling near Truchtlaching, surface finds have shown that there was a settlement here between the middle of the 3rd century BC and the 1st century BC, i.e. in the La Tène period. A reconstructed Celtic farmstead was built on this site in 2000. Today, this farmstead can be visited to learn more about the life of our Celtic ancestors.
